Life Introduction

Chetan Bhagat is India’s most famous author of modern India. He was born on 22 April 1974 in Delhi in a traditional Punjabi Hindu family. His father was a Lieutenant colonel in the Indian Army, and his mother served as a scientist at the Indian agriculture Research Institute New Delhi. He has studied at the Army Public School, Dhaula, Kaun. He was an average student in his teenage years he still got an opportunity to write articles for his school’s literary magazine. Chetan Bhagat got pleasure by seeing his name in the magazine. It led him to write more and more in the future. He completed his B. Tech degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in 1995. He got 9 plus points in his graduation. He completed his master of business administration degree in 1998.

Chetan Bhagat had an affair with Anusha Surya Narayanan. Later they got married in 1999. The couple has two sons- Shyam Bhagat and Ishan Bhagat.

Chetan Bhagat: Career

After graduation, Chetan Bhagat was placed at Peregrine Investments Holdings in Canada, but he worked there only for six months because it was closed after 6 months. Later, He worked as an investment banker in the Hong Kong office and was not happy with his boss at that office. He continued his Passion for writing despite working at the office.

Chetan Bhagat came back to India in March 2008. He started as a director in Deutsche Bank’s distress, assisting the team in Kodak House. He felt he should pursue his career as an author, so he left his banking career in 2009 to concentrate on writing full-time. Apart from all these, Chetan Bhagat is India’s one of most popular motivational speakers who has spoken in almost 1000 cities at more than 800 organizations.

Career As An Author

Chetan Bhagat wrote his first novel, ‘5 point someone,’ in 2004. It was published by Rupa publications 2 years later. In 2005, ‘One night @ call center’ became the most famous work of Chetan Bhagat. ‘The Three Mistakes of My Life’ was Bhagat’s 3rd novel. It was also Bhagat best selling book. Its 7 lakh copies were sold only in three months. The Three Mistakes of My Life was written in 2008. Bollywood movie ‘Kai Po Che’ mistake of my life now, Chetan Bhagat got reported as a successful Indian writer who writes in the English language based on Chetan Bhagat’s The Three Mistakes of My Life. Now Chetan Bhagat got reputed as a successful Indian writer who writes in the English language.

Bhagat’s next novel was ‘2 States’, published in 2009. This novel tells the Love story of Bhagat’s own life. It tells the story of how Chetan Bhagat fell in love with a south Indian girl, and it also deals with the problems Chetan Bhagat had to face in his love life.
