The Late Night Call: Dr. Andrew Manson returns home close to midnight, feeling highly upset and depressed after a disappointing evening with his girlfriend, Christine. Outside his clinic, he finds Joe Morgan pacing anxiously. Joe tells Andrew that his wife, Susan, is about to deliver their first child after twenty years of marriage and needs him urgently.
